Resolved: HORRIBLE lack of customer service!

After a LONG Battle with them, and MANY calls to customer service, I was FINALLY give a refund for the charge they added AFTER I had left & been given a receipt! So, while I was NEVER contacted by any local management, or offered an apology by the manager who fraudulently charged me, at least they reversed the added charge!

I will never use them again, but at least I was only charged for the car rental in the end! ARRG THANK you all so much!!.

We rented for a week. TOLD them we were driving CROSS country to bury my Dad. On the DAY I buried my Dad the car displayed "Low Car Fob". Of COURSE it's keyless, so without the fob, I can NOT use the car! So, call the ONLY number (roadside assistance) located ON the key fob! Told I can take it to the nearest walmart or tire place to have them replace the batteries and get reimbursed when I get back! I go, but they can't figure out how, &;;;;;;;;;;;;; they didn't want to "own" it, so suggested I take to car dealership. I do..they replace it, saying it's like a rubix cube to do! ARRG They even TEST it, but the FIRST stop, SAME thing! Trouble is, now I'm in the MIDDLE of the desert!! NO towns big enough to help within MILES! So, we decide to just head home (1000 + miles still away) and try NOT to ever turn off the car & HOPE! Once back, I EXPECT a refund for the batteries?! NOPE! I was told it was MY FAULT & I MUST Have done SOMETHING to make it not work since they gave me a working car! ARRG SOooo ANGRY! They even threatened to call the POLICE because I wouldn't "step away from THEIR counter"! I will NEVER and suggest you NEVER rent from these people! They WILL SCAM YOU at ANY AND EVERY chance!

I'd like at LEAST the refund for the batteries I PAID for & were TOLD I would get! An APOLOGY would be nice, but don't expect it! And while I understand I rented for a week, a refund for the day I came back early due to this would be nice as well!

Rental bill

I booked a car for a week then extended it for another 3 weeks. First week was $500 all good next 3 totaled 5000.00 ridiculous I say. No one wants to take ownership of the bill or issue

You should ask me about the Realitor who sold me my home. The loan officer and the escrow incompetency. Budget national customer service were confused and did understand I had been charged twice. It the last C S Rep was on hi game. Good job to that one!

Report a crack on the rental car windshield

just picked up our rental car and as we were driving back to our hotel I noticed a crack on the windshield. Tried to call the place where wepicked it up but no answer.

Complaint

When I rented the vehicle I told him I was not certain how long I may need the car, he said no worries, then when I tried to call to rent longer no answer everytime I called. Then I got a letter stating to return the car so I did waited a half hr to return, the man was in the office asleep really the business next door woke him up for me he apparently does this a lot, they told me it happens almost daily. When I picked the car up I waited almost a hr. the car I reserved was not there so had to take a car that just came in car was very dirty inside and out. Needless to say I am more than upset

Unnecessary hold on my card

I read and did my homework, my atm card is active and there is no reason why they shouldve of out a $2500 hold on my card . Bring that my card is active, they shouldve put a $300 hold on my card instead of a $2500 hold. Ive been scammed by one of your employees

Fob not working

I noticed fob not working, returned to Rental location in 15 mins. Assistant could not find other fob to offer, rec I just use key inserted instead of remote. I did so. Later discovered alarm also went off each when unlocking, entering car. Called Budget, told only option was return to Lihue to exchange vehicle. Was too far of a drive, so I was stuck with fob that did not work with remote opening plus embarrassing, irritating alarm going off each time I unlocked and entered vehicle. I believe I should be reimbursed 25% of the rental cost I paid for vehicle.

They didn't listen to me when I rented my car and put stuff on there that I didn't want and didn't put stuff that I wanted and it was very high!!! Didnt get my discount and didnt want fuel on there because I knew I wasnt going to go far!! And I wanted the e pass on there and he just wouldnt listen to me!! I couldnt understand him and he couldnt understand me!!!!!

User's recommendation: Do not do business with this company. If you have a problem and you need customer service to help you good luck. My experiences been terrible I have been trying to resolve my problem for three days and spent 10 to 12 hours with no luck. I am at the point now where are they don’t even respond to my emails. If anybody has any ideas and how I could get to corporate to explain my situation PLEASE HELP.

Car was a disaster

The car smelled of cigarettes &;;;;;;;;;;;; pot so bad that we asked for a different car and nothing was available. It was not sanitized or cleaned properly either. My 10 year old son had to put up with that smell for a whole week. To our whole group it was a nauseating smell. This is not acceptable. I thought all cars had to be sanitized and cleaned? We had to buy deodorizers but it didnt help. disgusting.

I’m not pleased

I rented a car got charged three times Issues are still not resolved.Im placing a suit against them to get my money .The people you talk are all out of the country.They are no help I keep calling no answers and not a clue .They keep saying send the documents.Its horrible

We rented/paid for Budget car through Expedia as part of our vacation to Florida. Waited in line 2 1/2 hours to pick up the car and was charged $786.63 more. There were charges on the bill that could not be explained by the counter employee. We got scammed by paying for gas at the counter and also paying for insurance that we did not need (as our own car insurance would have paid for any loss).
