I had a very bad rental experience with Budget. The rep didn't disclose all the options I could have for fuel prepaid options.
She just defaulted to full tank charge. I didn't know I could select partial tank when I checked out. And the reality was that I returned the car with almost full tank.
When I escalated the issue to their manager, even though she said she would refund that charge, she was not polite in her response at all. She made it sound like it was my fault not to ask all the information hidden behind.
It was a very deceiving selling practice.
And if their management team didn't realize the issue, they are running into big trouble. Won't rent with them any more.
